Airflow is a method of cleaning teeth where we use a mixture of salt, water, and added flavorings that is sprayed onto the teeth. With this technique, superficial stains that can come from the food we eat, as well as coffee, cigarettes, tea, and red wine, disappear. Many people like to think of Airflow as a kind of high-pressure wash for the teeth. Airflow is included in our examination and cleaning (NOK 695), but if you only want Airflow, you can just book a teeth cleaning (NOK 395).

Wisdom teeth need to be extracted if they erupt in the wrong position in the mouth and cause problems for other teeth. They should also be removed if you are experiencing pain, inflammation, or large cavities (caries). If you are having pain or issues with your wisdom teeth, we recommend booking an examination so that we can assess whether you should have one or more of your wisdom teeth removed.

The bleaching agent you get from Blid is safe to use. It works locally, meaning only on the teeth, and is gentle on the gums. There are strict regulations in Norway regarding the concentration of hydrogen peroxide (the bleaching agent) and we follow the guidelines established by the Norwegian Directorate of Health. We do not recommend using teeth whitening products purchased online, as there is little information about the content of the bleaching agent and therefore a risk of damage to teeth and gums.

It is individual how often one should visit the dentist or dental hygienist. It is recommended to have an examination to determine the appropriate interval, which varies from patient to patient. Generally, an interval of up to two years is recommended if conditions are good.
